- I work on THE STACKS, which is Scholastic's web site for independent readers. But I'm not representing Scholastic in any official capacity in this network; I just love kids books and always have -- ever since, well, since I was a kid!

- Harry Potter, Because of Winn-Dixie, Secret Letters from 0 to 10, Underland Chronicles, Percy Jackson and the Olympians (but I still have to read the last one, so no spoilers, please!)
- Why should kids read?
- I truly believe that keeping kids interested in books and reading is critical to helping them grow into good global citizens. But beyond that, of course, I think there's a level of enjoyment that kids can get only from reading quality material -- even if they're not aware of it themselves!
