Retired Mississippi art teacher...Children's book illustrator-"M is for Magnolia; a Mississippi Alphabet", "1 MS, 2 MS; a Mississippi Number Book", "N is for Natural State; an Arkansas Alphabet", "Natural Numbers;an Arkansas Number Book" (Fall 2007), and "P is for Passport;a World Alphabet". Besides the education activities, I exhibit my original art in galleries and exhibit in outdoor juried art festivals. In 2003, I won best of show at the Gum Tree Art Festival in Tupelo, Mississippi.

Why should kids read?
When kids read, they prepare themselves for he future. And, books open the world to them. Reading broadens children's horizons and connects them to the various cultures throughout the world. Reading also enhances and stimulates creativity. Kids also learn to write and express themselves better.
