I am a full-time Mother for my 10 year old daughter, Lauren. When Lauren was first learning to read, we created a children's book together about Springtime. It's Springtime In My Backyard is the story of a little girl and her relationship with two wild ducks that come to visit her one spring in her backyard.

Why should kids read?
Kids should read to open their minds to other worlds, experiences, viewpoints. Kids should read to experience other cultures, customes, traditions, folklore. Kids should read because it is fun and joyful.
